AI Did Not Break Consent

Working definition: a claim that AI did not create the consent crisis so much as reveal that consent had already been flattened into compliance theater, static permissions, and unreadable terms.

This page treats the phrase as a durable concept rather than a slogan. The argument is that a click, checkbox, or permission grant never fully described the living boundary that systems were already crossing. AI only made the mismatch harder to ignore because it can infer, compress, recombine, and act across future states.

That makes the concept useful wherever the corpus is trying to move consent from a one-time record into a contextual, revocable, inspectable, and continuous protocol.
