Telic Fields G.9 — Meaning, Trace, Memory, and Semantic Field Review

Parent lineage: The Telic Field Papers

Source artifacts

The complete package passed its internal SHA-256 manifest before intake. The ZIP hash is 7a8a012ba44b140634ca5993ca431b64cf8bd48a54a5d65a458a84a630d51b9e.

Working finding

G.9 grounds semantic-trail analysis beside semiotics, pragmatism, teleosemantics, biosemiotics, semantic information, affordances, stigmergy, niche construction, extended and distributed cognition, transactive and collective memory, archives, knowledge graphs, W3C PROV, cultural evolution, computational collective memory, and language-model intentionality debates.

The clearest candidate contribution is standing-aware lifecycle governance for traces that enter action systems. The review preserves the distinctions between terrain and trail, trace and meaning, persistence and integrity, information and truth, truth and legitimacy, graph edge and source field, machine readability and authority, shared access and commons governance, provenance and consent, correction and erasure, and reactivation and continuing validity.

G.9 requires semantic-field usage to remain scoped because the term already has established meanings. It remains a research and claim-boundary artifact, not a production specification.

Roadmap transition

G.9 is complete as a working review package. F.6/G.7 are now installed and the former provenance gap is closed. F.9/G.10 and F.10/G.11 are installed as the succeeding conceptual and research pairs.
