Telic Fields F.8 — Semantic Fields as Durable Telic Trails

Parent lineage: The Telic Field Papers

Source artifacts

The complete package passed its internal SHA-256 manifest before intake. The ZIP hash is 7a8a012ba44b140634ca5993ca431b64cf8bd48a54a5d65a458a84a630d51b9e.

Working focus

F.8 distinguishes telic terrain, action and consequence, persistent trace, later uptake, and semantic trail. It defines a semantic field narrowly as a governed ecology of durable traces and interpretive practices, and develops trace versus meaning, semantic persistence and integrity, witness and provenance, reactivation, drift, inheritance, shared fields, stigmergic trails, distributed memory, semantic commons and enclosure, knowledge graphs, model participation, breach, repair, forgetting, and release.

The candidate Semantic Trail Record tracks source and affected centers, evidence status, telic function, scope, authority, provenance transformations, integrity, uptake, corrections, forks, derived trails, and lifecycle state. The included W3C PROV mapping extends existing provenance concepts rather than proposing a parallel provenance substrate.

F.8 remains a candidate paper. The record and provenance mapping are research artifacts, not production specifications, and do not become canonical by installation.

Roadmap transition

F.8 is complete as a candidate working paper. F.6/G.7 are now installed and the former provenance gap is closed. F.9/G.10 and F.10/G.11 are installed as the succeeding conceptual and research pairs.
