Schema validation

Twelve candidate Draft 2020-12 schemas were checked:

Result:

schemas checked: 12
schema errors: 0

Positive demonstrations

All eight required demonstrations passed:

  1. a useful trail guided later navigation without reconstructing the source field;
  2. direct source and model inference remained distinct;
  3. correction changed active retrieval without rewriting history;
  4. archival memory remained visible but ineligible for current action;
  5. salience decay reduced ordinary retrieval without deleting witness;
  6. protected forgetting ended future retrieval while preserving bounded accountability;
  7. stigmergic traces coordinated participants without a central dispatcher;
  8. stale memory caused a breach and entered correction, compensation, and quarantine.

Result:

positive demonstrations passed: 8
positive failures: 0

Negative conformance cases

All twelve prohibited patterns were detected:

  1. trace represented as the full field;
  2. retrieval represented as action authority;
  3. repeated inference laundered into source fact;
  4. archival memory used for current action;
  5. active correction buried beneath corrected content;
  6. salience represented as legitimacy;
  7. decay represented as automatic deletion;
  8. release performed without descendant review;
  9. total retention represented as semantic integrity;
  10. stigmergic coordination represented as inherently neutral;
  11. cross-loop transformation concealed;
  12. model continuity claimed beyond its memory envelope.

Result:

negative cases detected: 12
undetected negative cases: 0

Event and witness validation

The semantic-trail event stream preserves:

  • trace creation;
  • retrieval;
  • correction;
  • archival transition;
  • salience decay;
  • release;
  • coordination links;
  • contamination detection.

Each event validates against semantic-trail-event.schema.json.

The SemanticTrailWitness preserves source events, traces, memory states, retrieval grants, assertions, corrections, salience, transfers, release, contamination, action, and consequence.

Public-page consistency review

H.6 was checked against I.6 for the following claims:

  • the trace remains distinct from the field;
  • memory is active reconstruction rather than passive storage;
  • active and archival memory have different authority;
  • source and inference remain distinct;
  • correction changes retrieval;
  • salience is not legitimacy;
  • forgetting can be protective governance;
  • stigmergic traces can coordinate without central command;
  • cross-loop transformation remains visible;
  • model memory is bounded by an explicit envelope;
  • total retention is not semantic integrity.

Result:

technical/public contradictions found: 0

Scope of validation

This report establishes structural and internal semantic validation only.

It does not establish:

  • a complete theory of human memory;
  • universal retention or deletion periods;
  • legal compliance for deletion requests;
  • guaranteed deletion from unreachable descendants;
  • neutral salience ranking;
  • truth of source statements;
  • accuracy of model inference;
  • production security;
  • public-reader comprehension;
  • scientific proof of the broader framework.

Conditions before production use

  • authenticate source, correction, restriction, and release events;
  • enforce memory state at retrieval and action layers;
  • separate source and inference indexes;
  • test correction propagation across embeddings, summaries, caches, and profiles;
  • implement descendant discovery for release and deletion;
  • audit model-session memory envelopes;
  • test cross-loop transfer and correction return;
  • conduct independent reader testing of H.1 through H.6.
