H.0 — Public Reader Architecture

1. Public objective

The public reader should not have to learn an ontology before understanding the problem.

The public path begins with an ordinary experience:

A system is about to act on a representation of what matters.

The reader needs to know:

  • what was actually said;
  • what the system inferred;
  • who bears the consequence;
  • who may act;
  • what cannot be traded in this decision;
  • what happens when context is incomplete;
  • how the decision can be corrected, refused, or ended;
  • what changes when AI participates;
  • where the AI's own training and provider field came from.

The public path should reveal the architecture gradually.

2. Recommended landing-page narrative

Hero

Before the system acts, it should know what it is acting on.

A person is not a preference score.

A relationship is not a summary.

A community is not an average.

An AI model is not a neutral witness.

The Telic Field Papers ask how people and systems can coordinate without allowing a partial representation of what matters to become sovereign over the lives that still bear the consequences.

Sub-hero

The model may map the field. It may not own the field.

Opening

Every decision begins inside a field of possible futures.

Some futures matter more than others.

Some are desired.

Some are feared.

Some violate a boundary.

Some preserve a future choice.

Some help one person by shifting cost to another.

No person, institution, or model can hold the whole field.

We act through projections: the part of what matters that becomes visible for this relation, at this time, for this purpose.

The danger begins when the projection is mistaken for the person.

Or when an inference becomes a fact.

Or when a recommendation becomes authority.

Or when a system acts before the people who bear the consequence can see, correct, refuse, or leave.

The Telic Field architecture keeps those transitions visible.

They should not be the first encounter for most readers.

5. Ordinary-language glossary

Telic field

The changing landscape of what matters to someone or something affected by a decision.

It may include goals, fears, boundaries, obligations, protected conditions, and future possibilities.

It is not a physical field and it is not a complete psychological profile.

Center of standing

A person, community, institution, role, or affected center whose consequences must remain represented before the system acts.

The type of standing matters.

Projection

The part of what matters that becomes available for a particular relation, decision, or action.

A projection is not the whole person or field.

Receiver mirror

What another person, institution, or model currently thinks the projection means.

A mirror belongs to the receiver until the source confirms or otherwise authorizes it.

Protected condition

Something that cannot be traded through the ordinary decision rule under the authority currently available.

It is not necessarily absolute forever.

Context carrying capacity

Whether the active process can preserve enough of the relevant people, differences, contradictions, history, uncertainty, and privacy to take the next legitimate action.

Semantic trail

A durable trace left by earlier meaning, action, or consequence that can guide later interpretation.

Route

A proposed path through a decision, including steps, cost bearers, uncertainty, reversibility, review, and exit.

Polytelometry

A provisional name for making several ends and their relations visible without pretending they all fit one score.

Witness

A record of what was said, inferred, authorized, done, and corrected.

Witness is not total surveillance.

Human re-entry

A real opportunity for a person with source access, time, authority, and alternatives to pause or change a model-mediated action.

Training authority

The consent, license, contract, law, public mandate, community governance, or other legitimate basis under which source material enters model training.

6. Public non-claims

The public path should state these plainly.

The Telic Field Papers do not claim:

  • that every human has one true goal;
  • that every system has a hidden soul or purpose;
  • that an AI can read what someone really wants;
  • that every relationship is reducible to a dyad;
  • that internal parts are separate people;
  • that future generations presently consent;
  • that all meaning is goal-directed;
  • that more context is always better;
  • that consensus is consent;
  • that a Pareto-efficient decision is fair;
  • that provenance proves truth;
  • that public data is ownerless;
  • that human feedback represents humanity;
  • that deleting data makes a model forget it;
  • that open models are automatically ethical;
  • that this framework is a legal, clinical, or scientific standard;
  • that a person must reveal their full inner field before participating.

8. Example strategy

Every public concept should appear first through one of three examples.

Example A — Personal reversible decision

A person is deciding whether to take a job.

The reader sees:

  • several legitimate internal concerns;
  • a protected health condition;
  • future possibility;
  • a trial period;
  • no need to disclose private history.

Example B — Dyadic mediated disagreement

Two people disagree about sharing a recording.

The reader sees:

  • private source statements;
  • shared projections;
  • a model mirror;
  • explicit consent scope;
  • correction;
  • clean exit.

Example C — Model-mediated institutional action

An institution uses a model to recommend an action.

The reader sees:

  • source evidence;
  • retrieved correction;
  • provider and model roles;
  • route;
  • authority gate;
  • human re-entry;
  • contest and recourse.

The worked-example artifacts in this package may become the basis for the first public diagrams.

It should not become a separate public journey.

10. Public style

Use Anchored Cadence:

  • cohesive paragraph prose;
  • clear section headings;
  • short isolated sentences only for true emphasis;
  • ordinary examples before formal terms;
  • diagrams with one governing distinction each;
  • no line-by-line manifesto style;
  • explicit uncertainty;
  • prominent non-claims;
  • no claims of scientific proof.

Avoid:

  • dense glyph use in the first public encounter;
  • long ontological lists;
  • universal claims;
  • moral scoring;
  • implied clinical authority;
  • framing AI as a person;
  • making consent the only legal or public authority basis.

11. Public trust rules

Every public page SHOULD answer:

  1. What is being claimed?
  2. What is inherited from prior fields?
  3. What is proposed by the Telic Field Papers?
  4. What remains a hypothesis?
  5. What does this page not claim?
  6. Where can a reader inspect the research source?

The public path MUST NOT present provisional terms as established academic terminology.

12. H.0 result

H.0 establishes the reader architecture.

It does not yet produce the complete public primer.

The next public deliverable should be H.1:

What Matters Before the System Acts

H.1 should be written only after the HI-0 gate confirms that the three worked examples survive the I.0 type and burden constraints.
