Status: candidate pre-production Content canon status: unset
| Condition | Evidence | Required response | Non-claim | |---|---|---|---| | Compatible transplant | Required substrate, authority, burden, correction, and exit are present | Proceed with review | Similar appearance is not enough | | Compatible with adaptation | Most substrate exists but local changes are required | Adapt before expansion | Local difference is not defect | | Substrate mismatch | Critical supporting condition is absent | Narrow, add substrate, or refuse transplant | Host is not biologically deficient | | Mission drift | Declared and operative purposes diverge materially | Correct, reauthorize, fork, release, or dissolve | Change is not always wrong | | Authority drift | Loop acts beyond the operation originally granted | Pause expansion and renew authority | Capability is not permission | | Beneficiary drift | Value increasingly accrues to another center | Reassess standing and burden | Every indirect benefit is not drift | | Burden drift | Maintenance or correction burden grows beyond grant | Redistribute, narrow, support, release, or dissolve | Output success does not erase burden | | Moderate lock-in | Switching cost is visible and proportionate | Maintain portability and review | Some switching cost is unavoidable | | High lock-in | Exit exists formally but is materially costly | Add transition, portability, and independent review | Dependence alone is not coercion | | Capture | Support continues after effective refusal or withdrawal | Disable recruitment and initiate repair | Persistence is not consent | | Releasing | Capture is being unwound | Track descendants and residual reliance | Release is not historical erasure | | Released | Future recruitment ends | Preserve bounded witness and residual duties | Ending support does not erase consequence |
Drift review
Material drift exists when one or more of the following changes:
purpose
beneficiary
authority
scope
burden
risk
data use
protected condition
governance
exit
Rebranding does not constitute reauthorization.
Metaphor boundary
“Teleological graft rejection” may remain as lineage language.
Technical records should prefer:
telic incompatibility
telic transplant failure
constitutional substrate mismatch
No biological or clinical inference about participants follows from these terms.
