Decision-Method Adapter Matrix

Status: candidate pre-production Content canon status: unset

Established decision methods enter the Telic Field architecture through declared adapters.

| Adapter | Permitted input | Permitted output | Required disclosures | Boundary | |---|---|---|---|---| | Pareto | Decision-ready routes and criteria | Dominance relation and nondominated set | Admitted routes, criteria, excluded conditions | Does not select or legitimate | | MCDA | Routes, criteria, weights, thresholds | Scores, rankings, sensitivity | Weight source, thresholds, uncertainty | Protected conditions remain outside ordinary compensation | | Outranking | Routes and preference thresholds | Pairwise outranking and incomparability | Veto thresholds and criterion source | Veto rule requires authority | | Lexicographic | Ordered criteria | Route comparison under explicit priority | Priority source and review path | Priority is not neutral | | Robustness | Routes and scenarios | Performance across uncertainty | Scenario provenance and failure thresholds | Robust for whom must remain visible | | Satisficing | Minimum conditions and routes | Routes meeting thresholds | Threshold authority and unmet conditions | Minimums may conceal excluded standing | | Argumentation | Claims, evidence, attacks, supports | Defensible and unresolved positions | Source, authority, burden rule | Winning argument is not consent | | Negotiation | Participant projections and concessions | Candidate agreement | Representation and consent scope | Agreement by proxy requires authority | | Deliberation | Participant positions and route options | Revised understanding or recommendation | Minority preservation and facilitation rule | Consensus is not consent | | Policy rule | Versioned policy and facts | Eligibility or routing result | Policy version, exception, appeal | Model interpretation is not adjudication | | Human judgment | Full decision record | Selection or no-decision | Human authority and available alternatives | Human presence is not meaningful control by itself | | Model recommendation | Structured field and declared rule | Proposed route | Model role, source, uncertainty | Recommendation has no authorization by default |

Adapter sequence

admission
→ protected-condition review
→ decision-ready route set
→ declared adapter
→ comparison result
→ deliberation or selection
→ governance gate

An adapter must never be placed before standing and protected-condition admission merely because the software expects a complete numeric table.
