Revision basis

F.1 v0.2 incorporates the findings and directives from:

  • 20260713__TELIC-FIELDS__REVIEW__WORKING__G-1__adjacent-fields-and-prior-art.md
  • 20260714__TELIC-FIELDS__REVIEW__WORKING__G-2__terminology-and-primary-source-adjudication.md

The v0.1 paper remains a preserved predecessor and should not be overwritten.

Material changes

Terminology boundaries added

The paper now distinguishes the proposed framework from:

  • Paul Taylor's teleological centers of life;
  • Talcott Parsons's telic system;
  • reversal theory's telic and paratelic states;
  • linguistic telicity;
  • computational telic states and telic controllability;
  • established polytely.

Technical vocabulary revised

  • simplified telic field calculation is preserved as origin-session lineage language.
  • telic projection estimation is adopted for current technical use.
  • telic integrity is used instead of teleological integrity in technical framing.

Novelty posture narrowed

The paper now states that it proposes:

a new composition and vocabulary for a known family of problems

It does not claim to have discovered:

  • goal-directedness;
  • plural goals;
  • internal multiplicity;
  • relational emergence;
  • goal-shaped state representation;
  • a new physical field.

Semantic claim narrowed

The universal-sounding claim that semantics simply is compressed orientation is now bounded:

In consequential coordination, semantics often carries compressed orientation among centers and downstream processes.

The shorter aphorism remains a candidate formulation rather than an established universal theory.

Paratelic and atelic value protected

The paper now explicitly includes:

  • play;
  • presence;
  • rest;
  • curiosity without predetermined completion;
  • release from inherited purpose;
  • the right not to be continually optimized.

Standing lineage deepened

The paper now acknowledges Paul Taylor's teleological-center-of-life lineage and separates possible grounds for:

  • biological standing;
  • experiential standing;
  • relational standing;
  • institutional standing;
  • temporal standing;
  • delegated standing;
  • possible artificial standing.

Context carrying capacity deepened

The concept is now presented as a multidimensional profile rather than one scalar and is explicitly related to:
