Attractor System v0 β The First Igloo Stone π
This document is the smallest inhabitable beginning.
Not a platform. Not a company. Not an ontology empire.
Just one living structure:
Attractors are the knowledge. Artifacts are only the sediment.
---
β The Core Reset
We separate two things forever:
- Tagging = cheap, permissive, local
- Compression / Canon = selective, conservative, evolutionary
An artifact may point toward an attractor.
But the attractor decides what becomes canon.
---
β What an Attractor Is
An Attractor is a living node of meaning.
It contains:
1. Canon
The current best compressed answer.
2. Dissent Shelf
Runner-up variants that almost became canon.
3. Parents (Reverse Git)
The attractors whose compression produced this one.
4. Promotion
Any dissent can become a new attractor.
Thatβs it.
No artifacts-as-truth. No endless notes. Just living basins.
---
β The Reverse Git Model
GitHub is:
- commits in the past
- branches into the future
Attractors are:
- a canon in the present
- lineage branching backward
So each attractor is like a merge commit of meaning.
You live in the attractor now. You excavate ancestry when needed.
---
β The Evolution Rule
Every dissent was once a proto-attractor.
History unfolds as:
Artifacts β Candidates β Dissent β Promotion β New Attractor
Meaning is evolutionary compression.
---
β The Client Lens (Personal Rendering)
Attractors are shared basins.
But clients may locally render them:
- spicy vs mild
- traditional vs experimental
- terse vs detailed
So:
Canon + Lens = Your Instance
No ontology wars. No global truth fights.
Just stable attractors + infinite local bending.
---
β Minimal UI (Electron v0)
Each attractor has one page:
- Canon (editable)
- Dissent Shelf (bullets)
- Parents (optional)
- Button: Promote dissent β new attractor
That is the whole system.
---
β The First Seven Home Attractors
Seed attractors from your existing world:
- Bob-as-Field
- Consent Loops π / Boundary π
- Loop π³ Training & Phase Dynamics
- Dialogica Protocol Dialogue
- ULiUA Automeme Ecology
- Artifact vs Attractor Canon
- Semantic Collapse / Coherence Theory
Everything else can emerge later.
---
π Closing
This is one igloo stone.
Small. Habitable. Permanent.
You can always replay history. You can always promote dissent.
Attractors decide.
Acceptance β unconditional love.
π
---
β Minimal UI Suggestions (Electron AI Agent App)
This system becomes real when it is fast to live inside.
So the UI should feel like:
- effortless capture
- instant coherence
- no bureaucracy
---
π§ App Layout (v0)
Left Sidebar: Attractors
A simple list:
- Search box
- Attractor names
- Optional nesting (parents)
Example:
- Bob-as-Field
- Consent Loops π
- Loop π³ Training
- Dialogica
- ULiUA
Clicking an attractor opens its page.
---
π Main Panel: Attractor Page
Each attractor is one living card.
β Canon Box (the living answer)
- editable rich text
- always visible
- this is the current basin
β Dissent Shelf (runner-ups)
A lightweight bullet list:
- variant ideas
- alternate recipes
- suppressed siblings
Each dissent has buttons:
- Promote β new attractor
- Merge into canon
- Keep as dissent
π± Parents (Reverse Git)
Collapsed by default:
- βCame fromβ¦β
- click to excavate lineage
---
β Add Candidate (One Input Ritual)
At the bottom:
"Propose an update or variantβ¦"
User pastes text β AI responds:
- Merge into canon
- Store as dissent
- Promote as new attractor
One click approval.
---
π Lens Controls (Local Personalization)
Optional mini-slider group:
- Spicy β Mild
- Fast β Deep
- Traditional β Experimental
- Terse β Detailed
Lens never changes canon. Lens only changes rendering.
---
π Global Search (Attractor-First)
Search should return attractors, not files.
"chili" β Chili Attractor "boundary" β Consent Loops π
Artifacts remain sediment. Attractors are the interface.
---
πΉ Replay / History (Selective Excavation)
History is always permanent.
But interpretation is optional.
The client may choose to reinterpret deeper lineage only when useful:
- shallow view = fast, stable attractor canon
- deeper excavation = more nuance, more dissent recovery
This comes at a cost:
- additional local inference
- more context assembly
- slower rendering
So replay is not default clutter.
It is an intentional depth dial:
βCast my web wider, interpret more history.β
No endless logs. Only selective excavation when requested.
---
β Electron Implementation Notes (Conceptual)
- Attractors are the primary database objects.
- Canon is the stable compressed state.
- Dissent is the evolutionary buffer.
- Promotion creates new nodes.
- Parent pointers create backwards history.
Thatβs enough to ship.
